Technical Specs

Central Kit

The Central Kit comprises a Central Unit, Remote Control and a Universal Dock for iPod®.

The main features of the Central Unit are as follows:

RDS FM Tuner with 30 memories and 75 ohm RF coaxial antenna connector.
CD/DVD Audio, MP3 Player.
Universal Dock for iPod® (iPod® not included).
Two RCA inputs for external sound sources.
Data and Sound (four channels) output line via RJ45 connector.

The Central Unit does not need installation and can be placed anywhere in the home or building provided it is close to the Line Connector Module (RJ45) (Ref.573 01) installed in the wall.

The recommended maximum distance between the Central Unit and the Line Connector module should not esceed 2 meters.

Remote

The Remote Control (Ref.501 22) allows you to operate the music and intercom system throughout the home or building.

It’s main features are :

Graphic interface with 2.2” TFT screen.
Built-in microphone.
3,5 mm jack input for an external sound source.
Wireless data and sound communication with the Main Active Loudspeakers.

The base acts as a support for the Remote Control and charges the battery when connected to the electrical mains (110 to 240 Vac/5 W).

With the Remote Control you can navigate the music in your iPod docked in the Central Unit just as if you had the iPod in your hand.

In addition, if you wish to independently listen to different sound sources from those connected to the Central Unit you can plug-in another iPod, CD or MP3 Player, using a 3,5 mm jack, to the Remote Control.

LIne connector module

The Central Unit is connected to the Line Connector Module. The Module is then connected to the Main Active Speaker. The Module is designed to fit into the most popular electric light switch sockets.

loudspeakers

A Main Active Speaker (Re f. 551 01) and a Passive Speaker (Ref. 553 01) are installed in the ceiling of each zone or room. A standard bus connection is wired between the Central Unit and all of the Main Active Loudspeakers that comprise an installation.

The Main Active Speaker incorporates all the technology to allow the Remote Control to communicate with the Central Unit. Its main features comprise:
